TOWARDS ESTABLISHMENT OF A CENTRE OF EXCELLENCY FOR BLUE ECONOMY AT TUM

In a consultative meeting held on 18^th of April 2023 between TUM and NEPAD/APRM Kenya Secretariat, a common agreement was arrived to make TUM the Centre of Excellency for Blue Economy in Eastern African coast. NEPAD, New Partnership for Africa’s Development is a socio-economic flagship Programme of the African Union (AU). Other areas of collaboration between NEPAD/APRM and TUM include: Multidisciplinary research, and development of human capital and institution. TUM becomes the first institution of higher learning as a contact institution for NEPAD/APRM in driving its agenda for sustainable development in Blue economy initiatives.
